The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) of Kenya is responsible for recruiting qualified Kenyan citizens into the National Police Service including the Kenya Police Service and Administration Police Service.

The 2025/2026 Kenya Police recruitment exercise was officially advertised by the National Police Service Commission on 19 September 2025.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements for the Kenya Police Recruitment

  2. Applicants must be aged between 18 and 28 years at the time of recruitment.
  3. A minimum KCSE grade of D+ with at least D+ in English or Kiswahili is required.
  4. Applicants must be physically and medically fit and have no criminal record or pending criminal charges.
  5. Minimum height requirements for male applicants are 5 feet 8 inches, and for female applicants 5 feet 3 inches.
  6. Female candidates must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment and throughout the training period.

Graduates of the National Youth Service (NYS) who meet the minimum requirements are encouraged to apply and present their NYS discharge certificate with at least a “GOOD” conduct rating.
